HISTORY
- We're family owned and operated.
- We're Oregon's largest and longest-established hot tub company, since April 1979
- Our long-established business and well-respected reputation have brought us about 17,000 satisfied customers - some of them owning their third or fourth Oregon HotSprings spa!
- Close to half our business comes from referrals from current Hot Spring spa owners
- We sell only hot tubs; we're the experts!
- We currently have some 26 employees in six locations
- The "Original" Nimbus Location. Our founder, Wilfried started out in April 1979 retailing and installing a variety of wooden hot tubs and fiberglass in-ground spas. In 1982 he took on the Hot Spring line on a trial basis. At the time Hot Springs produced only one model, the Classic. We were soon convinced by Hot Spring's quality and reliability that we should carry only the Hot Springs line - and in October 1982 we made the decision to carry Hot Springs exclusively, becoming the first store in the US to sell or offer exclusively energy-efficient portable hot tubs. At that time we assumed the business name of Oregon HotSpring Spas to reflect that decision.
- The First "Real" Showrooms. We moved our Westside retail location from our Nimbus warehouse to a Beaverton showroom. One more Westside move in November 1982 brought us to our current Canyon Road location. In 1983 we added an Eastside location.
In just a short time, the Hot Spring Spa made believers out of our customers and us. Hot Spring Spas perfectly matched the level of quality and innovation our customers were looking for. They were simple to operate, easy to maintain and highly energy-efficient. Plus Watkins Manufacturing Corp., the maker of Hot Springs spas, had a long, stable track record of quality workmanship, well documented by leading consumer research groups.
Oregon HotSpring Spas soon became the favorite product of Portland and southwestern Washington residents and the model store for Watkins Manufacturing Corp. Oregon HotSpring Spas was the store to which O.T. Neal, Vice President and Marketing Director of Watkins, sent his new prospects from all over the country to be sold on the product line.
- Sales Consultant Training. In 1987 when Greg Welsh joined our company, we pioneered the first Sales Consultant training school in our industry. We rented space behind the Warehouse and set up a showroom with all spa models and a cash counter. Sales staff learned in a four-week period how to give presentations, close the sale, handle money, how to do daily duties, fill out paperwork, etc. We video-taped the role-playing, reviewed and critiqued performances. When sales staff had low scores on the sales floor, they were once again sent back to school, away from the showroom. This was also Oregon HotSpring Spas' best year ever with 500 units sold in two stores. Greg Welsh joined Watkins Manufacturing seven years later to become their national sales trainer, with Watkins adopting and refining our sales training program.
- Salem Store. We opened the doors on a new store in Salem in January 1990. In December 1990 Oregon HotSpring Spas built a pilot Concept store according to Watkins' plans, for $70,000, one of a handful in the country. In April 1993 the Salem store moved to its present location on NE Silverton Road.
- Bend Store. In March 1994 we purchased a failing Hot Spring Spa dealership in Bend, Oregon. It took over three years of hard work and positive advertising to rebuild the good reputation for this store under the Oregon HotSpring Spas aegis.
- Clackamas Store. In June 1997 we relocated our Eastside store to SE 82nd Drive in Clackamas as a more desirable location, where it remains today.
- Warehouse/Distribution Center. We moved our Warehouse in February 2000 to its current location in Beaverton, and expanded it to include our "Central" offices, Service center and Delivery/Distribution, as well as our Warehouse. A new position of Delivery and Warehouse Manager was also created at the same time. The goal was to offer customers an even greater level of World−class Service.
- Vancouver Store. We opened our fifth retail store in Vancouver, Washington in July 2002 to better serve our southwest Washington customers.
After nearly 30 years in the same business, with the same philosophy of superior products and customer service we can assure you that your experience with us will always be - A Few Degrees Warmer!

FROM THE OWNER
My philosophy has always been to treat customers the way I want to be treated. You'll always get our best price the first time around, no haggling required. (But you can always talk us out of a Rubber Ducky) We offer an all-inclusive package to make the spa operable so you don't need to worry about extra costs cropping up after you sign on the bottom line. From the moment of your first visit to the delivery of your spa, we promise that your experience with us will be a pleasurable one.
