DEALER CONSIDERATIONS
- How long has the dealer been in business? Will you be able to count on them to be there to help you after you've purchased your spa?
- Ask the dealer how long they have carried their current spa brand. If carried for only a few years, ask why. When a dealer has carried the same brand over time, this indicates a well-performing product and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Get specifics on what's included in the purchase price. If "delivery" is included, does that include on-site placement of the spa, installation of accessories and orientation to use of the spa; or just drop-off to your driveway?
- Has the dealership been recognized by its peers as a leader in the field?
SERVICE
The longer the dealer has carried the spa brand, the more knowledgeable the service department is in servicing that brand.
- Does the dealer have their own service department with factory-trained and -certified technicians, or is a third party responsible for warranty work?
- Is there a trip charge to come to your home?
- Ask about service policies.
- Do the service technicians have any needed licenses (e.g. Electrical Certification in Washington State)?
- Does the dealership have a parts inventory sufficient to serve current as well as older models?
DEALER ASSISTANCE TO BUYERS
- Does the dealer offer an On-site Consultation to determine accessibility to the spa site, discuss spa placement for maximum enjoyment and address any customer concerns?
- Does the dealer offer referrals for qualified contractors such as crane operators, electrical and decking?
- Ask for customer referrals.
- Does the dealer listen to your needs to help you make the best decision, or do they try to "sell" you on their brand's features?

I am calling because i do not feel this is done often enough! I will recommend Oregon HotSpring Spas every day. We have a lot of friends who own spas (not Oregon HotSpring Spas) who complain all the time about the service they receive. We have had our spa for a while and we love it! Recently when the spa did not heat, we called your Service Department, explained the problem and a service technician came out within two days! We were shocked because of the complaints of our friends. The service manager, Ed, called us back immediately and scheduled a date right away to have our spa worked on. The technician was Lonnie McCann; he was the most courteous, knowledgeable and helpful person. We will always recommend Oregon HotSpring Spas and we will always be loyal customers because of your service.
